Pre- and Post-Operative Rehabilitation
Planning a surgery? There is evidence to suggest that pre-operative rehabilitation can improve outcomes after surgery by promoting a quicker return of strength and range of motion to the healing patient. An experienced physical therapist at Infinity Health will provide an appropriate plan of care to guide the pre-operative patient through a rehabilitation program to best prepare them for surgery.
After surgery, a physical therapist will educate patients on how and when to progress their rehabilitation protocol to protect healing structures while enhancing recovery to optimize return to activity. Infinity Health utilizes a team approach to rehabilitation through consistent communication with the surgical team throughout the entirety of the rehabilitation program to prevent complications and improve patient outcomes.
